Plastic Surgery and Other Tweaks

6

I'm not a plastic surgery specialist, I guess there are many many other people around who know more stuffs about this (if you are one of them, feel free to share your knowledge in the comments).
But I shall try and sum up all the facts that I know and pray that they are a little bit helpful~

First of all, plastic surgery is super common in Korea and throughout East Asia nowadays.
Most girlbands claim to be 100% natural beauty, but how come plastic surgery is so popular and Korea then?
In fact children get plastic surgeries as presents for their birthdays, etc, so it's hard to believe many ulzzangs or idols are 100% (or even 50%) natural.

  1. V-shape

The most effective way to get your V-shape is via plastic surgery of course.
Iit is your bones that are in the way, nothing much can be done about them if not plastic surgery.

The surgery is most commonly called Jaw Shaving.
Basically parts of your lower jaw bone are removed. I have heard that this surgery is very dangerous and expensive, but I'm not really sure.

I've said it before, but I think that having a V-shape is - unfortunately - very very important.

Still, I don't think that a jaw shaving surgery is justified, because it sounds a terrible thing to do to your body, also some people complain about a super fragile-feeling jaw afterwards.

In my oppinion another - far less dangerous sounding - thing to do in order to make your chin appear smaller is getting chin fillers.
Sounds contradictory, but if you inject the fillers at the bottom of your chin it makes your chin longer, therefore your face sharper what?

Please look at these pics from Xiaxue

Here face is actually quite sharp already, but the fillers do make a difference!

Another surgery kind of thing to do is reducing the muscles at the sites of your jaw (clench your teeth and see how to muscles pop up at the sides of your face)
If you use them very often, like chronically clenching your teeth, chewing chewing gums or stuffs like that a lot, these muscles will become bigger and bigger making your face looking super squarish.

So there are serious people who claim that they stop eating solid food and only go for soups and stuff, so that finally the muscle will shrink and weaken down.
You could achieve the same by injecting botox to these muscles.

Also some claim that massaging your jaw muscles very hard every day will reduce their size (Asians love massage acupressure blabla).

There are massaging tools to use on your lower jaw-line and I have seen ulzzangs using them. I don't know if they work or not.

Another surgery which is often done to achieve a slimmer face is reducing portruding cheek bones.
If they are very wide they will also affect the size of your face.
Sometimes it is enough to get rid of those and sometimes you need to do both - chin sawing and cheek bone sawing (?).

If you don't want to get a plastic surgery at all, all that's left for you are masks and make-up.
I might sound a bit negative here (or realistic idk), but I think they can also have a bit of effect!

Here's is Xiaxue's vid on how to get a slimmer, smaller face.
She uses a very exciting sounding cream and shows you how your face should be contured for it to appear smaller.

Another thing you could try out is to lose weight, to get rid of any face fats.
All people who slim down also have a smaller face in the end, so I guess it's worth a try.
  2. Forehead

To make your forehead rounder you can inject fillers.
If your forehead is really short you can cheat a longer forehead by gettings bangs that will start near the top of your head. This doesn't look fake at all and will also create the appearance of a slimmer (because longer) head.
  3. Eyes

Of course everyone knows of double eyelid surgery.

But there are many other surgeries to get your eyes into a desired shape.
You can cut away the outer lower parts (Canthoplasty), get rid of the inner fold (Epicanthoplasty) and get aegyo sal.

Another method to get permanent double eyelids is religiously using eyelid tape or glue over a certain period of time.
By using either of those daily (day and night) many people say they got permanent double eyelids. Some say it happened after three months, other say it took them up to 6 years.

I think it works, the only risk there is, is that apparently you can do it wrong, which results in having droopy eyelids.
Unfortunately noone seems to really say - how it is done right or wrong, but I think that using tape or glue and thus tucking or pulling your eyelid often can make it lose and saggy.

So don't pull and rubb but be gentle.
  4. Nose

There are so many ways to correct your nose... which mostly are different kinds of plastic surgery.

I think the most important ones are nose augmentation, reduction of a bublbous (super fleshy) nose and alarplasty (nose wing reduction).

There are many many other surgeries to reshape your face.
You can check this site Beauty Korea Plastic Surgery out for before and after pics and more additional information.

  3. Non-asians have round faces too. It's genetic, not race-based. And once again, asians want to look asian, just more beautiful. No one really wants to look white, sorry to burst your racist bubble.

    1. seriously? don't make me laugh~ I assume you want to confute what I said,  but girl you fail /sigh
I dont even know where to start~ let's begin w/ logics, every argument should at least be logical, even if the person saying it lacks general education

      Logic
'Non-Asians have round faces too.' Just the way you phrased your sentence implies that most Causasians don't have round faces (but smaller, sharper ones with deep set, double eyelid, big, colorful eyes, high and small noses, different hair colours, taller, hour-glass-ier bodies - as opposed to Asians w/ wider faces, small, monolid eyes w/o lashes, no nose bridges and shorter bodies which happen to be less feminine more often than not). Or are you seriously trying to tell me noone can distinguish a Chinese from a French girl? Wake up, man. People from different ethnic groups look different, idk what's so hard to accept about that.
W/ that said 'Asians want to look Asian, just more beautiful' is a wrong conclusion. Yes, they want to look more beautiful, only their ideal is highly western-standard-orientated. (Or let's see how you explain why they dye their hair red?)
'No one really wants to look white' Did I mention anything like that anywhere on this page? Well, I didn't, so again, you make no sense, by trying to invalidate sth that doesn't exist.

      General knowledge
Do you even know what a race is? Let me quote Wikipedia for you (I hope you know what that is):

'Races may be distinct phenotypic populations [...] Races are defined according to any identifiable characteristic, and also by gene frequencies.'
'A phenotype (from Greek phainein, meaning "to show" [...]) is the composite of an organism's observable characteristics or traits [...]'

So, I don't know how to break it to you, darling, but 'it's genetic, not race-based'?! Honey, that's the same!!
Races differ from each other through their different genes, that's why Asians have straight hair and others have curly or wavy hair!!!

Well, sorry not sorry for showing you on how many levels you fail (each sentence you wrote actually failed)
I don't mean to talk to anyone in such a tone, but people who address me in such an impolite way with absolutely untenable nonsense make me really angry.

Lastly let me tell you,  the only one who's racist here is you. Why does the obvious fact that different people look different provokes you so much?
It's just a simple, boring reality like how cumulus clouds don't look like cirrus clouds or that alleys or a different thing than highways.
I think that's a good thing and I, like most people who visit the site, just live with the fact that Asians have beauty ideals that correlate w Causasian beauty standards. What's so wrong about that?
Do you think that makes Asians less autonomous or less worthy? Does this thought irritate you? Cuz that's racist.
Personally, I don't find that it does no harm to anything, if someone tries to reach an idealistic goal of any kind. Or is a girl a lower being when she tries to be like Beyoncé, and is Beyoncé than a higher existence?

So take care of your own bubbles, before you try to deal with others' that don't even exist.
